Halloween!

Greetings, my many fans! They number to almost 500 visits! That's a lot!
So. I'm at school right now, so all of these pictures I don't have right now will be there shortly.
Matthew has a loose tooth, due to a fight between cousins. It is now wiggly to the point where he can push it back and you can see the gum underneath. Ew. I remember when I lost all of my teeth. I pulled eight of them out, one of them I swallowed. Losing my teeth was never an accident.
Cornbelly's as great. The corn maze was... fun... and long.
Physical Therapy has been moved from after school to before (and during) school. Yippee!
2nd term! Last term I had a 3.92 GPA. All A's and one B+, due to a test that was taken during the crash. :(
Sonatina Festival! Stay tuned, my piano competition is coming up. I'm playing Rondo Alla Turka, by Mozart. I'm in the advanced division this year, so this could get competitive!
Halloween was... mimeiful.
I was a mime! Pictures soon to come. Janessa was a hippie, so together we were peace and quiet. Ummmm... I mean, our costumes were peace and quiet. I never said I would be quiet.
I woke up ear ly in the morning for Therapy. I missed first period and half of second period, because after I was picked up from therapy, I went with my mom to Deerfeild to see the costume parade. Esther and Monterey were so cute! Esther was a Japanese teal dragon thing, and Monterey was one of those blow-up sumo wrestlers. It was pretty funny...
Remember sixth grade, when we had to do that? It was torture! That's why I felt so bad when I saw Matthew. He looked so uncomfortable!
School was a B-day, so that made things really great, and then we went to Omniture.
You've heard of Omniture, right?
Right.
Money.
Money!
MONEY!!!
SPEND SPEND SPEND!!!
Yeah. My Dad's department did their place as an enchanted forest. It looked so realistic!
Oh, did I mention the candy? The prizes? The people that knew me, but I didn't know them?
Yeah. Then I went to a Halloween party at Lizzy's. Janessa, Sadie B., Lizzy, and I were there. There was also, like, seven other girls there that I didn't know, but at one point or another during the night, they came up to me and said, "You're cool. Wanna be best friends?" I'm everybody's best friend. Sure! We did a scavenger hunt, a mummy wrap, and had food. This was the bomb of a party!
Overall, I had a great Hallowee. Thanks to everybody who made it special!
I now have two pet fish. At the begginging of this week, I had Tango and Beaker, but Mom killed them within eight hours. Now I have Zangie and Ribbons. Pictures coming soon...
See ya!

Saturday

I'm watching Nancy Drew right now. Anyways...
Today:
We went to the Witches Weekend thing at Gardener Village. We did a witch scavenger hunt. We had to find a frequent flying witch, a witch sailing in a boat, a witch on a bike, a witch sitting on a bench that wanted a hug, a hula hooper witch, a handcart witch, a chocolate loving witch, a witch on her cell phone, a cooking witch that wanted a kiss, three dancing witches, a really bad driver witch, a witch scared by a mouse, a witch who loves bugs, on and on. We had to find all of those before we could get a cookie. For those who were 12 and under. And yet I (being the charitable person I am) filled out Matthew's sheet so that he could get a cookie and I could not.
We walked around and saw all of the cute decorations and had a blast. Then we went to lunch.
At one point, before we had collected our cookies, we were on a bridge and Esther dropped her form into the river's edge where the reeds lie. Quaid (my cousin who was with us) ran to get it, couldn't reach, and so I stepped in. Everybody said, "No! Cole's about to come back from the candy shop. He can get it."
No way.
You guys know me- there is no way I am going to have a guy come in and do something I was already doing. When they said, "Don't do it, someone else is coming," I just do my work faster. That paper was pulled out before Cole could ask what was going on.
Cole had gotten us some great green rock candy sticks. Yum. Thanks, Cole!
Monday we're meeting up with these guys again to go to Cornbelly's for the David Archuleta (listen to his song, Crush. Gotta love it) shaped corn maze and other fun games.
Hasta luego!

Quote of Today: Hi. I think the principal wants to yell at me or something. How are you?

Bored. Bored. BORED!!!

I'm bored. I'm not sure if you're going to get much out of this post, so feel free to skip this post and move on to a new one.
You didn't do it, did you? You wouldn't be reading this right now if you had skipped over it. Why don't my fans ever listen to me?
Last night, I begged my mom for so long to let me call night games, but alas, I cannot.
I feel great this morning. I got to sleep in, and I'm going back to the Physical Therapist on Monday.
Hey, for the people who answer my polls, could you tell me who you are? That would be absolutely fantabulistic...
I'm bored. The Quote of Today is from Captain Jack Sparrow.
Signing out,

Google Me!

Woah! I just googled myself and I'm the first three results! Okay, I googled, "Lizzie Haws Utah," "Lizzie Haws," "Lizzie Haws Cedar Hills Utah," "Cedar Hills Utah [adding any post title I've done]" and on and on. I come up at least one time at the very top of the list, whether it's for this blog or my 99luvbugs.blogspot.com one (old news).
Oh, for those of you who have only just joined us as a regular viewer, which I know is a lot of you, look at my other posts.
Today, I went to the physical therapist, then went to hike the G with my family. Well, attempted. We found a trail and hit it with enthusiasm. Then we went the wrong way, and, well, yeah, we never made it to the G.
I finally watched The Ultimate Gift. It's so good. It's kind of like Charly (the best movie in movie history), where it's kind of sad all around. But I still love it.
I've added a couple of blogs to the list on the side. They're all really great blogs, I must say. Check them all out. Now. That's an order. -->
Fun.

BYU Campus

So, last night, we went to BYU campus to do a scavenger hunt.
When I got there, everybody was doing this thing where you poke them without letting them poke you. Confused? Me too. Steven was winning. At one point, Tim fell back on the sidewalk. I heard something go, "Crack!" and I freaked out because I thought it was his head. It was his elbow, but still! Ouch! But he's a tough guy. He got up and played some more.
We hit the road. Kyra, Jessi, Bailey and I piled into Sister Hansen's car. I sat on my side of the car.
We got to the campus (it took awhile- we got a little lost) and hung out for awhile. I was laughing with some friends when my hat (bad hair day. This is when I need Janessa) was snatched off of my head. I turned around, and Tyson had showed up. I got the hat back, put my hands on my head, and swore to never move them. At one point, I did, and it was snatched again. Tyson, Cameron, and Steven played keepaway for a little while, until I (eventually) got it back. Then I played "It's my bench" with some people. I don't think I ever won; people would just sit on me.
When we got started, my group was Jessi, Cameron, Steven, Bryce, Josh, and Brother Thomas. We went to different places to get answers for questions. We got sooo lost! We eventually had A.J., a police officer, stick with us. We also left a note for Brother McKinley. We couldn't find his office, so Cameron knocked on this guys door. The guy came over and said, "What's your problem?" Grumpy...
When we got to the Creamery, everybody was already there. Steven gave this pre-rehearsed speech of where we had been. It was pretty good. We were running around the campus screaming like maniacs, and so we were arrested, until they realized this was our youth activity. It was pretty convincing!
I picked out some ice cream. On the way to drop some boys off by their car rides home, we played corners, and everybody was competitive. I was about to die!
When we dropped the boys off, we went to get a drink. Kyra wanted to go to McDonald's because she says they have the best water, but we decided on Wendy's. Sorry Kyra!
In the line, I asked the lady if I could have one little french fry. Bailey asked the same thing. She gave us the whole box for free! We ate those.
Who came up with this activity, deacons? It was a blast!
Today, I went to the physical therapist. Same stuff. This feels so much better!
This morning, after the physical therapy, Matthew, Monterey, Esther, and I all went on a bike ride along the canal- ending up all the way in PG. It was so great.
My mom just killed a huge black widow in our garage!
Jessi got a blog! Go to hunymuffin.blogspot.com!
Esther and Monterey are being so cute. They're making a lemonade stand with Kool-aide.

Pysical Therapy

It feels sooo good! No, I'm dead serious. You. Need. To. Try. It. Seriously.
They measured me and found that it's not too bad, but it could be better. They gave me some shocks sent into my muscles, and an ultra sound. I'm not pregnant, they just use the same waves in this as they do to pregnant women. They also gave me a massage and some exercises to work on. They excused me from PE.
End of the term! Yea! I have pretty good grades. We now have a five-day weekend.
In school today, Mr. Brooks announced that we are going to write a school newspaper. I took the Teacher of the Year column and the Mona Lisa column. The Mona Lisa column was my idea. I'm just going to state the controversies of the Mona Lisa and support them. Fun, huh?
Tonight is combined Young Men's and Young Womens'. We're going to the BYU campus to do a scavenger hunt. No car crashes this time!

Those Pictures I Promised...

When my parents pulled up, this is what they saw. An Emergency room. You'd probably freak out if that's what you saw.

Waiting... sigh...
Us pulling up. It seemed like forever in that ambulance!

Richard pulling me out of the ambulance on my stretcher. I'm sooo glad they didn't get a picture of my face at this point...

Getting Janessa out of the ambulance...

Janessa still getting out of the ambulance...

Oh... sad... it makes me cry all over again to see how bad we cried Wednesday night!

The power of the victims... we formed a group on that terrible night.

How you see us now- happy and cheerful.

Wasn't that great, seeing all those... beautiful... pictures (shudder)? That is a fun thing to think about. So, Janessa and I are coming back to school tomorrow. Jessi already went back on Friday (good for her- that just proves what wimps we are). My Mom is going to call my pediatrician first thing in the morning. He wants to see me and check me out before he recommends me to a physical therapist. Did you know that if you have what I have, you're supposed to put hot things on it rather than cold stuff? You put cold stuff on swelling. Sister Hickey came over yesterday (we were at Janessa's house playing on a newly acquired Xbox 360) and gave Janessa and I rice bags. You put them around your sores and they work really well. I'm blabbering again, aren't I? Anyways, back to tomorrow.

It's going to be a B day! I absolutely love B days because I have:

B1: PE. My Mom is going to send me a note because I am in no state to run around right now. I'll probably just hang out in the girl's locker room with Janessa and Jessi while we talk about our boring weekend and Mrs. Bitton sits at her desk and pretends nothing is happening.

B2: English! Mrs. McNaughton! I love B2! We are reading The Witch of Blackbird Pond, and even though I read it in fifth grade I have to read it again.

B3: MATH!!! My favorite subject!!! Mr Fiack isn't all that fantabulistic, but I still take his class. Note to self: Talk to Mr. Fiack about more (and harder) homework.

B4: Creative Writing. If you think I would pass that class up, you are terribly wrong and you don't know me at all. Mr. Brooks is brilliant, and his class is way cool. We're doing a poetry unit right now. So far I've written... I've written... well, it's a lot more than 500 lines, okay? I actually have this class (as well as my B1 class) with Jessi and Janessa. Mr. Brooks says we're some of his favorites, we just need to quiet down. I dislike very much those words!

Hasta luego!

Meet Lola!

Lola is a monkey. Everybody be nice to her. If she gets in the way, click on the banana, and she will go and eat it. Please tell me if she is a bother and I will have her trained.
I took my neck brace off this morning because it was hurting my teeth. It was forcing them to clench. Ouch.
Janessa wants me to put pictures on my blog. I will put the pictures of the accident on here very soon, and we're getting family pictures done on November 10th.
I AM SO MAD AT MYSELF BECAUSE I MISSED NATIONAL RIBBON DAY YESTERDAY!!!
For those of you who don't know, Katie and I come up with "National Holidays" every tenth day of the month. Yesterday was national ribbon day. I totally forgot. I'm so sorry, girls! I have no idea what November 10th will be.
Okay, guess what?!? Janessa and I are going together on Halloween for our costumes. She will be peace (a hippie), and I will be quiet (a mime). I hope you all know, however, that when I say we are peace and quiet, we will not walk around being peaceful and quiet all day, in fact, we will probably be anything but. Just so you're aware...
Janessa came over for the day yesterday (Friday) and I showed her Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End because she's never seen them before. My Disney character of all time is in those movies- Jack Sparrow. He is the reason I live and watch his movies! Johnny Depp is a genius. The Quote of Today is from him because I think it is appropriate.
Hasta Luego!

Not Much To Say

I woke up to Sister Howell's hug. I hugged you back, Sister Howell! I appreciate your concern, and I want you to know I'm fine.
So, who missed me at school yesterday and today?
Don't answer that- I already know the answer. EVERYBODY!!!
So, who missed me the most at school yesterday and today?
I don't have more to say than what I said yesterday. Pain. Stiff. Bored. Blah. Blah. Blah.
I had to sleep with my neck brace on last night because it hurt so bad.
I changed my blog a bit. I hope you like it.
HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: We now have over 245 views (last I checked). Thank you so much, my wonderful, beautiful viewers and fans.
Pictures of Wednesday night are soon to come, so be on the lookout for something ugly.
New Poll!!! Check it out and vote!
I'm almost positive I'm gonna be at church on Sunday and at school on Monday (though I will be checked out for a doctor's appointment and a physical therapist recommendation). But it walk around hunched over and wincing with every painful step and screaming out when I have to look anywhere but straight.
I need people to tell me your favorite songs so I can put them on here. Leave a comment and leave in a song or two in there somewhere.
I have a bunch of toothaches. I think I clenched my teeth down when we were hit.
Ciao!
Lizzie

Why I Was Absent From School Today

It's Wednesday night. Dark. It's eight-thirty. Late.
Jessi, Janessa and I crowded in the backseat in that order. Sister Oyler sat in front of Jessie. We were on our way home from Young Women's, where I had played the piano quite beautifully. Turning on to Jessi's street and playing Truth, Truth or Truth, I heard Sister Oyler gasp.
You know how people say it all goes so slow, like a movie in slow motion? Seconds after I heard her gasp, I had been jerked forward. I heard the crash much later. The pain came even later than that.
The driver that had hit us going at fifty miles per hour, never slowing down. She had hit the car right where I was sitting. Totaled the car.
I was bawling. Tears came faster then my hands, which were reaching for my door. It wouldn't open. A man came to Sister Oyler and asked her to talk o the police on the phone, because he didn't know where we were. The police got there before I could even ask what was going on. A firefighter helped me out of the car and helped me to the side of the road, by Jessi, Sister Oyler, and Janessa. We all had mascara dripping down our faces.
People draped blankets across our backs.
They asked us questions like "Who's the president of the United States right now?" or "What's the date today?" Each question was answered correctly. They started to ask us what hurt. I said my head, neck, and lower back. They gave me a neck brace and duct-taped me to a stretcher. My Mom came right around then.
They shipped me off to the ER in the ambulance. Janessa (who was in the ambulance, too) held my hand as we cried and cried. They took our blood pressure and oxygen level while trying to make us laugh.
The ER was very interesting. The doctors were nice. Sister Oyler came in to the bed next to me, as Janessa was already on the other side. We got home at one in the morning.
They told me to wear a neck brace, so that's what this ugly thing around my neck is.
My new friendship bracelet is a hospital band.
Today, the phone was running off the hook. Thank you to everybody!
I went to Jessi's house with Janessa and we made cookie dough for Sister Oyler. Later, Jessi and I delivered them.
Gotta take a nap!
The Quote of Today today is a conversation between Janessa and I in the ambulance last night.
