Happy Life

Life (at the moment) is a whole heck of a lot happier lately. For instance:

-The common winter sickness has finally reached the Haws home, which means (if you know my house, you know that the upper floor is the kid's floor) that our beloved Lizzie, also very sick, has the night shift.
-Lizzie started guitar lessons!!! YYYEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! She and her Mother will be shopping for a guitar (rather than a cheap rental) on Saturday right after her second lesson.
-Grades went up... patience went down...
-Jessi will turn fourteen on Sunday. Shout out to Jessi! We love you! Mia Maid time!
-Alex posted a comment (notice that I get excited about the smallest things. Keep it up!)
-We reached almost a thousand visits! 921! We're popular!
-Cole and I are going to All Shook Up at Hale Center Theatre tonight (part of my Christmas present). It'll be the best ever!
-Jessi, Candace, and I found a book in Mrs. Brande's office called The Five Love Languages of a Teenager. Shiver. Yuck. Puke. Recover and puke again. For those of you who don't know, Mrs. Brande is the health teacher at the Junior High.
-There have been no major arguments on the bus lately to brag (or cry) over.
-Jessi and I have gotten into a habit of going on a walk for a little longer than an hour a day. Who knew exercising could be so much fun? The one reason we couldn't today was because of the shooting in PG today. Weirdos. Who does this anymore?
-Mom bought lunch meat! My long and tiresome days of cup-o-noodles everyday are over! I had a turkey and mustard sandwich for both lunch and snack today. And then I made cookies. Yum.

Those are some pretty sweet headlines, if you ask me.
Note to self: buy Baskin Robbins and enforce drinking fountains in each store in the country. This is one of my biggest pet-peeves on the planet Earth! That, and when people play the piano when I'm playing. Yuck. If you want a turn, I'll give it to you... once I'm done! Arrrg!
I wanted to share the cutest email I just got from Cole:

THE LAWS OF FLIRTING: FLIRTING RULES
Girls: When you want to cuddle with him, tell him you're cold.
Guys: Automatically move closer to her (if you're stupid, then you'll either say 'Me too,' or you'll give her your jacket... don't).
Girls: During a movie, if he puts his arm around you, tilt your head on his shoulder
Guys: Lift her chin up and kiss her.
Guys: When she tells you she loves you, look deep into her eyes, give her a peck on the lips, and tell her you love her too... and MEAN IT!
Girls: When you're both laying under the stars, put your head on his chest and close your eyes as you listen to his steady heart beat.
Guys: Whisper in her ear; 'The stars are beautiful... and so are you. Then link your hands with hers.

Cute! One caution, though, and that it is age. As in, not until you're at least eighteen (I'm looking at you, Janessa)!
We got family pictures back yesterday and they're sooo cute.
Fun.
So.
I ran out of gas.
That's just an expression.
I gotta go! I'm gonna go get ready for All Shook Up!
I promised Jessi that I would quote her, so the Quote of Today is from her.
Hasta Luego!

Mondays are Just Mondays

So.
Mondays are Just Mondays. Nothing special. Except for early out and Family Night, it's pretty much the same as a Tuesday or a Thursday (not to be confused with Wednesdays or Fridays- you can always tell the difference there).
Speaking of family night, I have dessert. We are going to have ice cream! :)
What else? Tut, tut, tut. Or is it tusk, tusk, tusk? No, it's probably more like tisk, tisk, tisk. But I wouldn't know.
Jessi and I went on a refreshing walk together today. And in health, we had relaxation day. Phoohy. I had no homework for today.
Guess what?
Oh, many things.
My summer is going to be filled! When I say filled, of course I mean jam-packed! They changed the age deadline for Trek, so I can go to that, and I have Girls Camp and EFY (the week after fourth of July) and a cousin's club campout thing-a-ma-jigger and guitar lessons and piano lessons and playing and night games and Ross is coming up (no, sorry, down) from Washington and we'll take him to Lagoon and...
I added new music to our playlist on this blog.
I was looking up Julliard scholarships and there's one for composing!!! My future awaits me!!!
Grades are coming up!
For those of you that I tagged, I forgot to explain the rules:
-You have to answer all of the questions and add your own.
-You have to add your own question at the bottom of the list and answer that question, too.
-You have to tag at least five people.
-There are tag-backs.

Isn't that fun? Good!
Today, I'm in a pretty good mood (walks with Jessi always brighten my day), so there are two Quotes of Today! One is from the Julliard website, and the other is an awesome quote about the food of the Gods!

Quote of Today 1: Composers must capture what they hear in the mind’s ear, shaping and giving life to the sounds of the music.

Quote of Today 2: I'd give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter!

Tagged!

Ooo...
Today was (is) a good day!
It was a Friday, I got checked out of school early to go to another surgeon appointment, I got a new hat... anything else?
Today Matthew came up to me and, trying to get my attention, he yelled, "Lizzie! Lizzie! Lizzie! ELIZABETH!!!"
And I turned to him, first of all annoyed because he had gotten mad at me for not answering him within three seconds when I was already doing something else, but also shocked. I realized that only teachers really call me Elizabeth anymore. Even then, it's just Sra. Anderson, and... nobody else. Huh.
I miss Kyra...
Oh, yeah. I've been tagged. I'd better get this over with...

How old are you? Thirteen. Not fourteen.
What grade are you in? Eighth.
Do you have a crush? Why are these always the first questions they ask? Humph.
Have you ever kissed a person of the opposite sex? It's GENDER!!! Oh my heck!!! Gender! The world is going insane!
What was the last song you listened to? Of my own good will? Because I just babysat and my Mom bought HSM3 for us to watch. It wasn't my fault. Other than that, I think I last heard Check Yes Juliet by We The Kings. I just bought it on Thursday and I love it.
What's your favorite food? Did somebody say food? Where? GIMME!!!
What's your favorite color? Green. You can do so much with the color green. It can be happy or sad, Bright and dull, it can go with anything and it doesn't stain too easily, it means "go" and I'm a "go" type of person... the list is endless.
What's your favorite breakfast cereal? Raisin Bran and Golden Grams. I know, I'm boring.
Are you a Beehive, Mia Maid, Laurel, Decon, Teacher, or Priest? No, I'm totally a Priest, Duface. Duh.
Are you more clean or messy? Spotless. We need to revise these questions. How about, "Are you spotless or not?"
Are you nicer or meaner? Bad grammar. You need to look those up in the dictionary, I'm not sure those are correct. Moving on...
What is one of your best memories? I have a couple of those, and, you know, a lot of them involve camping. In Duvall (Washington), our ward would always go to this lake with an island in the middle of it and camp there. I also really liked this last campout. I felt like I met a lot of new people that night.
How many times have you moved in your life? Oh, don't get me started! A couple times when I was a baby, in between fifth and sixth grade, and then in sixth grade I had six different full-time teachers, and here I am. As many times as I've moved, though, this is the only place where I haven't begged my parents to homeschool me or let us move to Australia or something. It's the only place where it's felt like home and I am free to be myself (which means talking... sometimes even too much)
What do you want to be when you grow up? A mom, for sure, but I want to study at Julliard. I'm not sure what I want to study there, music, or literature, or something like that. You know me...
If you could have three wishes, what would you wish for? Straight A's, no pain for the rest of my life, and smiles to spread from ear to ear, male and female, bond and free... yeah, you get the picture.

Wasn't that fun? I tag all of my followers! Tag!

Quote of Today: There's dead, a little bit dead, and mostly dead. Your friend here is only mostly dead, he's not dead yet.

English Project... Finally Over!

Yeah!!!
It worked out really well. As in, I had people coming up to me all day long saying, "I absolutely loved your song!" and other people saying, "I heard that you wrote a really good song. Somebody from your class told me it was very good!"
Woo-Who!
Score!
And then Emily listened to it five times on the bus! How good did I do?
While she was listening to that, everybody found out I was thirteen, when they thought I was fourteen or something. From there, it became a battle to see who was older than Lizzie. Tyson automatically thought I was 2 years older then him, apparently I'm a year younger than Logan, and all of a sudden, I'm, what was it, a year older than Cameron, too?
No, no, no!!!
This is all wrong!
I'm a year and a week younger than Tyson, four months younger than Logan, and a month younger than Cameron! It's bugging me so bad I added it all up! Arrrg!
So.
Other than that, I'm doin' just spectacular!
I'm working on a new song, and I'm out of good books. Any suggestions?
After the incident on the bus with me being thirteen and all, I had some inspiration for the Quote of Today (it's about boys and being dumb). It's from good ol' Thomas Jefferson. Back to the project I just got over and done with.

Quote of Today: [She] who knows nothing is closer to the truth is closer to the truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehood and errors.

Happy Monday!

So.
Guess what?
I GOT TO EAT LUNCH WITH THE POCOCKS TODAY!!!
Alex still plays basketball and the guitar, and a new addition to the family as been made: Emma Jane. Has the world seen a cuter baby?
I guess the new way to judge a person is by their iPod. He had Coldplay songs, so I didn't judge him as bad. I should have asked him how he judged me.
Note to Alex (because I did give them a napkin with this blog address on it):
Leave us a comment. The world is dying to meet you.
We caugt up by talking about our old ward and MySpace. Ha, ha!
:)
So.
I gotta go. Hasta Luego!

Quote of Today: Do you have girl insurance? 'Cuz the boys must fall all around you and you have to pay when it's your fault.

February

Life is good... at the moment.
Let's see...
My hours and hours and HOURS spent on grades are finally beginning to pay off. I have a 3.76 GPA, due to all "A's", with the exception of one "B-" in Health and a "B+" in Spanish. Those will come up soon though, trust me.
I have changed this blog to look like February, for the long days in February ahead of us. I'm sorry that the "LOVE" is backwards, it's just how the mirrors in the camera work, I guess. I'll try to fix that soon, but I'll probably change it anyways, now that March is coming up fast.
Isn't it ironic that this Valentine's Day is the day after Friday the 13th? Cool.
Nash... I mean, a doorbell ditcher just came by and gave me a Frog Prince. It's a frog, and when you fill the container with water, it evaporates and leaves a Prince. No kissing involved. It's so cute; I think I'll bring it to school so I can keep a close eye on him.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Hasta luego!
